Some errors not included in FAQ

  • boot normally and a screen  says “Automatic boot in 10 seconds…” with a countdown, then “Can not find root filesystem“…
  • Reason:
    USBdirver UUID is not correct.

    Solution:
    First, find real UUID for your device like this:

       [lemon@lemon /]$ ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/
       total 0
       lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec  7 19:03 0d4947bc-cb8e-4d76-adb5-e115643f5d96 -> ../../sda6
       lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec  7 19:03 18db2f9a-a419-4f72-86d9-7e720d7e7628 -> ../../sda7
       lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec  7 19:03 5806FDB006FD8EEE -> ../../sda2
       lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec  7 19:03 684452744452454A -> ../../sda1
       lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec  7 19:03 aec3d7e9-add6-4b6d-8acd-77cb53901445 -> ../../sda5
    Second, replace the UUID in /syslinux/syslinux.cfg
  • boot error
  • It seems that everything is ready and qemu test ok 2 but still boot error.~ Firstly, I thought maybe something wrong with disk MBR. So I reload MBR like this :

      cat /usr/share/syslinux/mbr.bin >> /dev/sdb
    but nothing changed...
    Then I swich to windows and check the disk partition status, Oh~~~ the partition is not active!!! I use command line on windows
     cmd-> diskpart -> select disk -> select partition -> active
    Now enjoy your Live USB~
